What is Otto?

We've introduced Otto, our AI assistant that lets you ask questions about your fleet in plain English and get instant answers from your FleetCheck data.

Otto uses dynamic query technology to understand your questions and retrieve the information you need — whether you're asking about MOTs, defects, inspections, or vehicles off road. You can ask follow-up questions, request exports, and explore your data conversationally without navigating through multiple screens.

This initial release focuses on core fleet data. Otto can answer questions about:

• MOTs — due dates, overdue vehicles, and MOT history

• Defects — open defects, oldest issues, who's reported what, and defect status

• Inspections — vehicles without completed inspections and inspection history

• Vehicles off road (VOR) — current VOR status, longest instances, and VOR reasons

Otto is available as a beta feature for Professional and Enterprise customers. You'll find it as a new tab in the Organisation Overview section once enabled. Please contact your account manager to gain access.

How do I use it?

If Otto has been enabled for your fleet, you'll see an Otto tab below the Overview tab in your Organisation Overview.

Click the tab to open the chat interface. Type your question in plain English — for example, "Which vehicles have an MOT due in the next 30 days?" or "Show me open defects reported this week" — and Otto will retrieve the answer from your fleet data.

Your conversation history is saved for 30 days, so you can return to previous chats using the list on the left. Otto can also export results to CSV when you need to work with the data outside FleetCheck.

Otto works best when you ask specific questions about the data types listed above. If you ask about something Otto doesn't yet support, it will let you know and suggest what it can help with instead.
